The English Premier League returns after the international break and Manchester United again leads the preview of this weekends games as they sit atop the table in first place.

Manchester United vs Everton; United led the league 9 points ahead of their nearest challengers, Man City, with the title firmly in their command. If they hold serve, the title is theirs. However, they have many tough games to contend starting with Everton. The Blues always give United a hard time and last years loss probably cost the United the title.

Southampton vs Manchester City: City dropped 2 points last week in their draw with Liverpool and sit in 2nd place nine points behind the leaders Manchester United. City will need to win all their remaining games to have a chance of retaining their title. While Southampton have a battle on the relegation front. The Saints will need all the points they can muster to avoid the drop.

Chelsea vs Wigan Athletic: Chelsea stand at a crossroads, results are not going their way heaping pressure on interim manager Rafael Benitez. A win is needed to settle the noise. Jack Wilshere and Theo Walcott are in devastating form for Arsenal, but need to add consistency. Sunderland are tough and stubborn at home so it will be a difficult game for the Gunners.

Liverpool vs West Bromwich Albion: Two teams in mid table with different outlooks. West Brom will be happy with their league position, while Liverpool have aspirations and expectations for the top 4. West Brom had a tough loss last week losing 1-0 to Spurs while, Liverpool had a good result against Man City.

Norwich City vs Fulham: Both teams are in joint 13th place looking likely to be drawn into the relegation struggle. Both have had periods were they’ve had good results and performances but current,u both are struggling and are heading in the wrong direction.

Swansea City vs Queens Park Rangers: Harry Redknapp’s QPR are still in last place but have been playing well. With new transfer window signings they have a good opportunity to catch Swansea napping and pick up all 3 points.

Aston Villa vs West Ham United: The battle of the claret and blues. West Ham got back to winning ways last week with a win over Swansea. Villa have had no such luck, enjoying only win in the last ten games and are in deep trouble lying 2nd from bottom.

Stoke City vs Reading: Reading come in on the backs of a good 4 game run picking up 7 out of a possible 12 points. For Reading efforts manager Brian McDermot recognized as manager of the month. Reading is still battling for their premiership lives but they are moving in the right direction. Stoke have legitimized themselves as a genuine mid table premiership team and will expected to win the game.
