16 Real Madrid players have been called up to their national teams

There is a new round of international fixtures for 16 of Real Madrid’s players. Casillas, Sergio Ramos, Albiol, Xabi Alonso and Arbeloa will be with Spain for the friendly match against Saudi Arabia and the world cup qualifier for Brazil 2014 against Georgia, away from home. The Portuguese players Pepe, Coentrão and Cristiano Ronaldo will play for their nation against Luxembourg and Azerbaijan, which are also world cup qualifiers. Germany, with Kedhira and Özil, will play two qualifying matches against the Faroe Islands and Austria. Benzema’s France face Finland and Belarus, and Modric’s Croatia will play Macedonia and Belgium. Di María and Higuaín have been called up by Argentina for world cup qualifiers against Paraguay and Peru. Marcelo will play for Brazil in two friendly matches against South Africa and China. Varane will play for the French under 21s in a qualifying match for the 2013 European Championships against Slovakia and a friendly against Chile.

Spain will warm up for the 2014 world cup group qualifying stage with a match against Saudi Arabia.
The current European and World champions, with a squad which includes five Real Madrid players, will play a friendly match against Saudi Arabia this Friday in Pontevedra. The match will be used to prepare the following match, which is a qualifier for the 2014 world cup in Brazil, on Tuesday 11, against Georgia in Tbilisi. It will be the first of the qualifying matches of this stage.
