Cristiano Ronaldo puts fear into Fabio Capello as Portugal against Russia for the road to the World Cup 2014

Russia will be playing home against Portugal for the chance of going to the World Cup 2014 in Brazil. Fabio Capello who has managed the England national team has the responsibility of taking the Russian team to the World Cup and could he succeed for Russia? Fabio Capello has admitted that he hoped that Ronaldo will still be injured so he won’t compete in the match of Russia against Portugal.

Ronaldo suffered a shoulder injury during his match the “El Clasico” which ended in a draw of 2-2 but the Portuguese is showing signs that he will be joining his country to face the Russians in their clash for the World Cup qualifiers.

Fabio Capello said: “Honestly speaking, I was hoping that Ronaldo’s injury would be more serious, of course if he didn’t play, then it would be much easier for us to defend. As for Ronaldo, it’s always very difficult to stop him.”

Fabio Capello has shown signs of fear against the Portuguese striker but looking at the outcome of Ronaldo with his record of playing on an international level as he doesn’t shine as much as when he plays for his club Real Madrid, Ronaldo has the skills to bring quality on the pitch against Russia and can lead his team into Brazil World Cup 2014.
