English Premier League Preview Game Week 13

English Premier League Preview Game Week 13

Chelsea vs Manchester City: With the midweek sacking of Chelsea manager Roberto di Matteo and the hiring of Rafael Benitez, this game got even bigger. With both sides coming off losses in the champions league and last weeks City’s impressive 5-0 aside, both sides have shown indifferent league form over the past month. There has been recent player unrest and dissension rumors flying around city, but have scratched out results with their talent. Chelsea need a win to stay in the title race, while both sides need a win to boost their confidence.
Prediction:
Roderick; 2-1 Chelsea
Ali; 2-0 Man City

Manchester United vs Queens Park Rangers: United were shock losers on the road to Norwich last week. The chances of Man Utd, getting it wrong two weekends in a row is highly unlikely. Sir Alex Ferguson will push his troops on, to take advantage of the potential trouble on the horizon for rivals Man City and Chelsea. QPR’s Mark Hughes is living on borrowed time. His expensively squad has failed to gel and they find themselves rock bottom of he league. Hughes should consider himself lucky to still be in a job after his sides convincing loss last week to fellow strugglers Southampton.

Prediction:
Roderick; 3-0 United
Ali; 1-0 United

Tottenham Hotspur vs West Ham United: London derby, where the surprisingly high flying West Ham travel to face a Spurs side who have come off the boil these past few weeks, after a good start, and have not won in 5 of the last 6 games. Sam Allardyce will bring his West Ham side and there hurly burly physical style of play, making it difficult for the opposition. Spurs will have to adjust and get back into their slick passing rhythm if they are to get a result.
Prediction:
Roderick; 2-0 Spurs
Ali; 1-1

Aston Villa vs Arsenal: Aston Villa conceding five against Man City last week and will want to make amends for the embarrassment. Arsenal are not out of the woods in terms of inconsistency and poor performances, regardless of their win over Spurs last week, but will look for a result this week. Villa will bring the performance that nearly got them something versus Man Utd, but this time they’ll get it completely right and get the win.
Prediction:
Roderick; 2-1 Aston Villa
Ali; 2-1 Arsenal

Swansea City vs Liverpool: The grudge match, the return of Brendan Rodgers and his Liverpool team to his old club Swansea city. Rodgers had a good few years here but all sentimentality will end at kick off. His old players will want to beat him and put maximum effort in to that end. Liverpool, who have had a good run of late will be in for a long afternoon. Swansea get the win.
Prediction:
Roderick; 2-1 Swansea
Ali; 1-1

Sunderland vs West Bromwich Albion; Both teams come into the match off bigs wins last week, with West Brom’s win over Chelsea being especially impressive. West Brom will look to capitalize with a win over a Sunderland side, who irregardless of their win
last week, their lack of goal scoring will comeback to bite them.
Prediction:
Roderick; 2-0 West Brom
Ali; 2-2

Stoke City vs Fulham; A mid table clash with two sides with hopes of Europa league. Stoke have had an indifferent season so far, not getting the results that they would have expected. While Fulham, have been sporadic, lacking consistency, losing the games they should win, while winning games they should loose. Stoke at home, and their physical style should get the result.
Prediction:
Roderick; 3-1Stoke
Ali; 1-0 Fulham

Everton vs Norwich City: Can Norwich City get up for “lowly” Everton, after a great win over Manchester United last week? I think not, Norwich will still be celebrating. Everton, coming off a loss to Reading will want a win, to keep their Champions league hopes in place and their fine start to the season. Everton get the win.
Prediction:
Roderick; 2-0 Everton
Ali; 2-1 Everton

Southampton vs Newcastle United: Injuries, poor performances and suspensions have knocked Newcastle off their early season form. They come in sitting in I’d table after a home loss against West Ham. Southampton, on the other hand still find themselves in the relegation, but picked up a big win in last weeks relegation clash against.
Prediction:
Roderick; 2-1 Southampton
Ali; 1-0 Southampton

Wigan Athletic vs Reading; Two sides that are hovering above the relegation zone, will want to pick up a win in this genuine 6 pointer. Wigan need to a win after a couple of defeats, face a Reading side who are flying high after their big win over Everton last week. Wigan might just have the edge.
Prediction:
Roderick; 2-0 Wigan
Ali; 2-0 Wigan
