Messi three goals from 300 mark 2

Leo Messi scored once again this weekend and is another step closer to another historical landmark. The Argentine’s penalty against Valencia put him just three short of the 300 mark for Barcelona. The ‘Atomic Flea’ has scored  33 league goals already this season, 12 ahead of his main rival Cristiano Ronaldo.

And that’s not all. Lionel Messi has socred in total 45 goals for Barça this campaign in all competitions. At the age of 25, ‘El Pulga’ is on the verge of breaking the 300-goal barrier for club and is setting records left, right and centre.

Barcelona’s next three fixtures are a home gameagainst  Getafe (‘La Liga’ week 23), away at Granada (week 24) and away at Milan (the first leg of the Champions League last 16). Very likely the record will be broken soon.
