Cristiano Ronaldo is nervous but excited ahead of tonight’s Champions League clash between Real Madrid and Manchester United says Michael Essien.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s  real Madrid team-mate  is looking forward to this mythical confrontation between two European superpowers.

The Portuguese spent six years with Manchester United, winning three league titles and the Champions League once, before his move to the Spanish capital.

“Cristiano is anxious; you want to start the game. He is in extraordinary physical condition,” Essien said.

The Ghana international also added that Jose Mourinho’s team are prepared for the battle, while taking into consideration the Red devils’ deadly attacking strength.

“In the Champions League it will be a different game. I’m ready and the team is as well,” he said.

“They have many attackers and it is up us to stop them.”

“They are a fantastic team. It’s a great game and I can’t wait for it to start. We’re not scared of being knocked out. It’s another great game and the players are all really excited, really looking forward to playing. We know it will be very tough”.
