Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho shrugged off any talks of him replacing Alex Ferguson as Manchester United’s next manager.

The ‘Special One’ has rumoured to replacing Ferguson when the 71-year-old finally decides to retire.

When 50-year-old Mourinho was asked if he would be replacing Sir Alex, he replied: “No, because we have to end our career at the same time. He at 90, me at 70.”

Mourinho also mentioned that his next job will be in the Premiership.

“The Premier League will be my next step,” he said.

Mourinho has been linked with the Chelsea job or a move to  Manchester City.

But Jose said he is firmly focused on tonight’s Clash of the Titans between the two European giants.

“Man U has that responsibility too and we feel that responsibility. I think for sure it is the match of this round of the Champions League, I think it is the most important one,” he said.

“It is always a privilege, not just when you win. We all want to play against big opponents, big coaches, big players, big teams and Man U

represents all of that.”
