As the African Cup of Nations which will be disputed in South Africa has kicked in for qualifications, Morocco who were seen as not to be qualifying as it appeared to most people made a comeback by gaining a victory. Indeed, they were down by 2-0 aggregate by Mozambique but defeated their opponent 4-0 in Marrakesh.

Eric Gerets was the previous manager of Morocco. The nation believed that by bringing the foreign manager it will bring success but that ended in Morocco not performing. Rachid Taoussi has proven his talent with his debut by giving the Atlas Lions victory over Mozambique and re changing the tactics and formation of Morocco.

Morocco has the potential this time to take on the big teams such as Nigeria, Ghana and Algeria for the title and becoming champions of Africa, Rachid Taoussi has said that he will give it his all to take Morocco to Brazil for the World Cup 2014.
