Barcelona ready for Neymar

The Barca official has claimed they are ready to sign Neymar but will wait for the player to make a decision on his future.

Barcelona vice-president Josep Bartomeu has revealed that the Blaugrana are ready to make a move for Brazilian prodigy Neymar once he gives the green light to Santos.

The Santos forward is linked with many clubs in Europe, but he has been saying over the months that he won’t be leaving Brazil until the end of the World Cup in 2014.

The Barca official has claimed they are ready to sign Neymar but will wait for the player to make a decision on his future.

This does not stop Barcelona who are keeping a close eye on him:

“Neymar has to step up first and say that he’s ready to leave Santos. When that happens, Barca will be ready to try and sign him, because the technical staff want him,” Bartomeu told La Porteria.

“It is always good to sign an interesting player. We look at home first before we turn our attention to the transfer market.”

Neymar has a contract with Santos until after the 2014 World Cup.
