Another round of EPL games are on tap as we preview this weekend’s games. With 11 games to go the battle for the top spots is in full swing as is the battle to avoid relegation.

This week the Tottenham Hotspurs – Arsenal encounter is he biggest game on this weekend’s calendar. The game has massive implications beyond the usual bragging rights for these north London rivals. Arsenal are looking to salvage their season by solidifying a top four birth, while Spurs need to get in the Champions league after missing out last year.

Elswhere, Aston Villa take on Manchester City, as City kept their slim chance of retaining their title alive with a big win over Chelsea last week. Their fate is not in their hands, however and they will need Manchester United to drop points. While for Villa, their fate seems to be sealed, as one of England’s great teams look good for relegation

Everton face Reading, where both teams come into the game off the backs of poor results needing a win. Everton can feel their chances of a top four champions league spot slipping away as they have dropped into 6th place. Reading had a heavy loss last time out to fellow strugglers Wigan and find themselves back in the relegation zone. Both need a win to salvage their seasons.

In mid tables, Sunderland meet Fulham, while elsewhere, Stoke City square off against West Ham United. All four teams face similar situations. They are all not quite in the relegation dog fight, but they are not all together safe on the other hand, other than Stoke.

Manchester United continue their assault for the title as the face Norwich City. United are in first place by 12 points and basically need to hold serve and the title will be on its way back to Old Trafford. With 11 games to go points will be dropped somewhere. Norwich stunned United with a 1-0 win earlier in the season so it will not be all easy going for the reds.

Chelsea vs West Bromwich Albion: The continuing sense of upheaval never seems to die down where Chelsea is concerned. This week it was sparked by a Rafael Benitez rant aimed at the section of Chelsea supporters that continue to voice their dislike for him. His job is no easier after an unimpressive loss to fellow contenders Man City last week. His task will no get any easier as West Brom come to town with former Chelsea assistant manager Steve Clarke at the helm. The only good thing is Chelsea loanee, Lukaku is unable to play against his parent club.

Swansea City vs Newcastle United;  Newcastle have had a turn of results as their transfer window signings have improved their fortunes. They look good for a win as they may catch Swansea napping as the “Swans” may still be celebrating the Capital Cup win.

Southampton vs Queens Park Rangers; it’s not looking good for QPR. It’s going to take a miracle to stay up. Southampton ate on the fringes of relegation need a win obvious reasons.

Wigan Athletic vs Liverpool; Wigan come into the game on the backs of a great win over fellow relegation strugglers
And will host Liverpool this week looking to begin there assault for premiership survival. Liverpool will have a difficult task as the continue their push for the Europa league.
